At the store where I work, our Christmas shop is about 90% set up. All we’re missing are the live Christmas trees and about 359 more poinsettias, and the space that has Thanksgiving items will need to be cleaned up this weekend.

I’m becoming known as the person who “makes displays that sell stuff” but my favorite display so far is for employee eyes only. You can’t see it unless you’re standing on the cashier side of the cash register:

My other favorite display was made by another employee but I don’t think they intentionally tried to build the scene that my brain sees:

My brain saw this and thought, “Huh. Those birds wearing scarves and caps look like they are investigating a murder scene.”
