This pretty crape myrtle was a gift from my aunt. It was living on my front porch and now it’s hanging out in the flower bed, still in its nursery pot, because I’ve been too lazy to dig a hole…
…partly because I know that digging this hole is going to be a huge pain in the behind, thanks to decades of roots and nasty hard clay soil.

I am a female Marine currently in the Individual Ready Reserve. I like to sleep, travel, read, eat, explore, and take photographs. I read lots of news and I like reading about life in other countries. I am easily amused and my dream job is to be snoozing in a warm patch of sunlight, hopefully with a piece of tasty cheese nearby for when I wake up hungry.

Although not the same plant, yellow loosetrife is related. I just have gathered all the roots I could find from across the garden and settled them along one wall.
